Kingfisher Red – Budget Airline Guide

Kingfisher Red (formerly Air Deccan) is a domestic budget carrier based in India. As the first low-cost airline of India, it currently flies to 64 destinations with 300 flights a day with a fleet of Airbus A320 and ATRs. Kingfisher Red’s main hub is at HAL Bangalore International Airport, with a secondary hub at Chennai’s International Airport.

Operations of Kingfisher Red started in August 2003 as Air Deccan. In 2008 the merger between Kingfisher Airlines and Air Deccan became official, resulting in Kingfisher Red.
