Low carbohydrate diets are able to rapidly improve insulin sensitivity, and partially reverse the collection of diseased states (high triglycerides, high cholesterol, diabetes, hypertension) known as the metabolic syndrome.
Despite the fact that low carb dieters consume 3 times the amount of saturated fat, low carb diets improve many of the heart disease risk factors including lipids and inflammatory markers… due to their rapid and powerful influence on insulin sensitivity.

Alex- i do hope you’re joking “i think the idea that saturated fat are bad for you is just a myth”, if you’re not i’d hate to see you BMI
Low carbohydrate diets or those which restrict themselves to only eating a few complex carbs like apples or carrots throughout the day are the way to go. I’m living proof. With a little discipline and goal setting, anyone can do it.
A low carb diet I suppose would mean less sugars, but also carbs are good for energy for burning fats – depends on your body’s needs and how you are exercising.
great post thanks

Great post! I have been thinking about changing my weight loss diet to low carb. This post made me think a little more about doing it. Thanks for sharing!
