Longest Rice Cake Display

To celebrate the Chinese Lunar New Year, a mall in the Philippines exhibits what has been billed as the “longest display of glutinous rice cakes ever made.” The Chinese traditionally celebrate the start of the lunar calendar with these sticky rice cakes in the hope of good luck sticking around the new year. The display consists of 5,000 rice cakes spread on top of a table around Chinese characters that say “Happy New Year!”
