The Singapore Flyer

The Singapore Flyer is a giant Ferris Wheel, much like the London Eye, located at the Marina Centre on a plot of reclaimed land.


It was constructed for three years, commencing in 2005 and was inaugurated in 2008. The Singapore Flyer has diameter of 150 meters and has 28 air-conditioned capsules. Inside the capsule at certain heights, visitors can see views of Johor, Malaysian and the Indonesian islands of Batam and Bintan. The base of the wheel houses shops, bars and restaurants.

How to Get To The Singapore Flyer

The Singapore Flyer is located along Raffles avenue. For tourists, one can ride a taxi, or take the MRT and Bus routes. Via MRT, one should take the Circle Line (CC4) and get off at the Promenade Station. Via Bus, take public buses 106, 111 and 133 to Temasek Avenue.
